Marex 440 Scandinavia world premiere at Boot Düsseldorf 2025

The Marex 440 Scandinavia, the second version of the shipyard’s flagship model, will have its official world premiere at Boot Düsseldorf 2025. This model redefines modern cruising with the perfect blend of luxury and functionality. With a strong focus on social spaces, the Marex 440 Scandinavia offers two large dining areas on board and allows quick, direct access to the deck thanks to the side doors for the pilot and co-pilot.

Concept overview
The Marex 440 Scandinavia is the result of a successful collaboration between Marex and Slovenian studios VOM Creations (design), Nikl Design (naval engineering), and Alpha Creations (technology).

“We are pleased to present our award-winning flagship model, the Marex 440, in the Scandinavia version. We started developing this concept a long time ago, with the idea of enjoying family cruising in all weather conditions and seasons. The two dining areas, interior and exterior, allow us to create a truly versatile boat,” comments Espen Aalrud, CEO of Marex.

Interior dining area
The Marex 440 Scandinavia stands out with its innovative and versatile interior design, carefully crafted for comfort and ergonomics. The interior dining area includes a sofa and two pull-out chairs, ideal for additional guests or pleasant family gatherings. The table features folding leaves that easily adapt when space optimization is needed, especially when part of the sofa is used as a co-pilot bench.

This “smart seat” can be quickly transformed into part of the dining area, adding flexibility to the saloon. Whether you are enjoying a meal or a lively conversation, this multifunctional seating layout adapts to your needs.

“Whether the boat is anchored in a quiet bay or cruising along the coast, the large windows on the 440 Scandinavia create a sense of connection with the sea. Additionally, the sliding glass doors and electric retractable window allow guests to merge the saloon and cockpit into one social space for enjoyment,” adds Aalrud.

A special feature is the TV that descends from the saloon ceiling and, thanks to its rotating function, can be used both in the open cockpit and inside the saloon. This smart addition ensures you can enjoy your favorite shows or movies wherever you are seated.

Galley
The Marex 440 Scandinavia features a stylishly designed galley equipped with a double sink, oven, and Miele induction cooktop.

Storage and efficiency are key elements of this model. A large 220-liter (7.8 cu ft) refrigerator and a 100-liter (3.5 cu ft) freezer provide ample space for provisions. As an additional option, the refrigerator and freezer can be powered by solar panels on the roof, allowing them to operate throughout the entire season without shore power.

Cockpit
The open cockpit of the Marex 440 Scandinavia is designed as the ultimate social hub on the water. At its center is a spacious U-shaped sofa surrounding the dining table, complemented by an additional sofa on the starboard side. Every corner of this area is optimized for socializing and connection with the sea.

Lower deck
Like the Gourmet version, the Marex 440 Scandinavia is available with a two- or three-cabin layout.

The two-cabin layout includes a spacious forward master cabin with a 1.70 x 2.00 m bed and a large bathroom with a separate shower. The guest cabin features its own bathroom, a 1.80 x 2.00 m bed, a comfortable sofa by the window, a dressing area at the entrance, and the option to install a washing machine.

The three-cabin layout includes a master cabin with its own bathroom and two cabins with separate berths sharing common facilities.
